After presenting the progress I have made in the past four weeks I received a range of feedback. I discussed that I am looking at pushing my work further than just a catalogue. I’m considering to maybe pushing it to a website or some type of way finding system proposal for thrift shops. Potentially a sort of task or test for my audience to use in order to make the experience less anxious and overwhelming as that was a common response from my survey. If it could potentially be that I could recommend brands or colours to look out for while shopping to help them narrow it down and make the experience smoother.
Along with this I explained the catalogue and how I’d show the diversity of an item of clothing that was purchased second hand. My peers and advisor responded well to this as they agreed that the book alone could be successful. They were sure to advise not to limit myself to just the catalogue but also not to push it too far with the amount of work I’m going to do. That a smaller quantity of work that would be completed to greater quality would be better.
With this however they said that with my ideas why not link them all to be one big project? To push it to be a campaign and the mag was a part of it. The feedback I received was highly beneficial and I felt encouraged to continue in the direction I am going. I am still trying to define exactly how I am going to progress this to my final piece of work but I feel much more on track and hope to have something to show for the week 6 reflection.
